Bubba Akers
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Akers always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Minor league scouts have accused Akers of being a liability in the field. Bubba's arm leaves a little to be a desired. He has no speed at all and runs the bases conservatively.

2010 Outlook
What The Retired or Inactive Players was thinking when they signed Akers to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
