Mike Aldrete
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
Aldrete always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Aldrete when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Aldrete you're not putting him in for his glove. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par. Aldrete has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner.

2010 Outlook
One has to wonder what Mike Aldrete is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors.
