Pitching
Ashby can get into trouble with walks, and there's concern about him being able to maintain his stuff over the whole season. When his release point drops below three-quarters, his fastball tends to hang in the strike zone. Ashby also throws a screwball. His composure needs work. When Ashby starts getting hit, he gets mad and loses concentration. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success.

Defense & Hitting
Ashby has lots of energy. He comes off the mound like a cat and doesn't make many errors. Ashby's move to first base is average. Ashby is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Ashby has some pop in his swing.

2010 Outlook
The Nevada Stars signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Ashby like a hot potato if something better comes along.
