Paul Assenmacher
Relief Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Pitching
Assenmacher also has a decent changeup. You know, some times I think I can throw harder than Assenmacher, and that's saying a lot. Assenmacher has no endurance. He's good for an inning an outing, tops. He's trying to develop a sinker, but as of yet it's been well below par. The running movement on his pitches makes life tougher on lefties than righties.

Defense & Hitting
He isn't especially quick off the mound but generally fields his position adequately. He doesn't hold runners very close, which gives his catcher a bit of a workout. Assenmacher is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Assenmacher has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Assenmacher as a pinch-runner on occasion.

2010 Outlook
Assenmacher flat-out isn't ready for this level of competition. Expect the Retired or Inactive Players to send him down promptly. But if you ask me, I'll pass on Assenmacher.
