Josh Bard
Catcher | Chicago White Sox

Hitting
One of Bard's strongest assets is his performance with men in scoring position. Josh Bardis Mr. Clutch. Bard always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
He's an adequate catchers who is helped by his experience. His arm is accurate enough. Bard doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often.

2010 Outlook
The Chicago White Sox signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Bard like a hot potato if something better comes along.
