In past seasons, Beall has been a bit of a liability with men on base. Beall always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Beall is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat. Minor league scouts have accused Beall of being a liability in the field. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
I can't say I know what The Free Agents were doing locking this guy up to a long term contract. A questionable call at best.
