Hitting
In past seasons, Bert has been a bit of a liability with men on base. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Bert plays a near-flawless shortstop, making very few errors. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par. He's at his best in situations where a base has to be stolen, such as the late innings of close games.
