Mike Blowers
Third Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. Blowers never has been a patient hitter. Let's face facts: Blowers hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. Blowers struggles on the road.

Baserunning & Defense
His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal. In the past, his critics have accused Blowers of being a liability in the field. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
If Blowers doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
