Humphrey Bogart
Starting Pitcher | Idaho Sporks

Pitching
Not overpowering, Bogart succeeds by painting the edges of the strike zone. His fastball is just average, and therefore he relies heavily on placing it in different parts of the strike zone. Because he can't overpower hitters, Bogart has to fool them instead. Sometimes I wish he'd just give up on throwing the changeup, it's like a BP ball! He traditionally fares better against lefties.

Defense & Hitting
He has a fair pickoff move and isn't a particularly easy target for basestealers. Bogart doesn't field his position well. Bogart is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Bogart has some pop in his swing.

2010 Outlook
I really like what this kid brings to the table.
