Wade Boggs
Third Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
With his slap-hitting approach, Boggs always hits like he already has two strikes. The results are usually groundballs or line drives to the opposite field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Wade Boggs to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is. Boggs struggles on the road.

Baserunning & Defense
He doesn't get good jumps on grounders, but his routes are fine and his hands aren't bad. Wade's arm leaves a little to be a desired. He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical.

2010 Outlook
Boggs flat-out isn't ready for this level of competition. Expect the Retired or Inactive Players to send him down promptly.
