Brown never has been a patient hitter. Brown always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Brown is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat. Brown is a poor defensive catcher. He isn't very mobile or adept at blocking balls in the dirt. His arm is accurate enough.
