Tony Burke
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
The book on Burke is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. I tell you, it's a real trip to watch this kid play. He gives 110% all the time... unfortunately that means he tends to run out of gas as the game wears on. Burke always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.

Baserunning & Defense
Burke has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner. Minor league scouts have accused Burke of being a liability in the field. His arm is accurate enough.
