Brett Butler
Center Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
In past seasons, Butler has been a bit of a liability with men on base. With his slap-hitting approach, Butler always hits like he already has two strikes. The results are usually groundballs or line drives to the opposite field. The Retired or Inactive Players do tend to sit Butler when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. You can expect Brett Butler to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par. Butler's speed is now average at best and he steals only infrequently.

2010 Outlook
One has to wonder what Brett Butler is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors.
