Sean Casey
First Baseman | Cleveland Lions
Hitting He has a very quick bat and can adjust to a pitch's movement as well as any hitter in the game. He's still a singles hitter at heart, and knows how to shorten up and protect the plate with two strikes. Casey was a line-drive hitter when he first came up, but over the last few years has become more of a true home-run hitter, lofting more high flyballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. His strength is in the gaps.
Baserunning & Defense Casey plays a near-flawless first baseman, making very few errors. His arm is accurate enough. Casey doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a few bases each season without getting caught very often.
2010 Outlook Casey is in charge when he's at the plate.
