John Chriton
Third Baseman | Seattle Mariners

Hitting
Chriton seems to become especially focused in big situations. Chriton is an excellent mistake hitter who belts middle-of-the-plate fastballs or hanging breaking balls. He generates most of his power against righthanders. During the last two years, he has become more patient and gotten better loft on the ball. Don't be surprised if The Seattle Mariners's manager sits Chriton when you throw your ace lefty. For some reason, he just can't figure out the southpaw. You can expect John Chriton to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
He's an adequate third basemen who is helped by his experience. John's arm leaves a little to be a desired. Chriton isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out.

2010 Outlook
The Seattle Mariners signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Chriton like a hot potato if something better comes along.
