Fred Clarke
First Baseman | Free Agents

Hitting
Clarke never has been a patient hitter. The Free Agents do tend to sit Clarke when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. You can expect Fred Clarke to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. His arm is accurate enough. Clarke doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Clarke to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
