Darren Daulton
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
Daulton never has been a patient hitter. Daulton always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him.

Baserunning & Defense
He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical. In the past, his critics have accused Daulton of being a liability in the field. Runners take advantage of his weak arm.

2010 Outlook
If Daulton doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
