Davis always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
He steals a few bases with his combination of quickness and a decent first step. When you play Davis you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
The New York Yankees signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Davis like a hot potato if something better comes along. Davis admits he probably never will have even average power.

Davis isn't a fluid third baseman, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. Tommy's arm leaves a little to be a desired. Davis is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Davis to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
