Hitting
Donohue never has been a patient hitter. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever. You can expect John Donohue to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
His defense is solid but unspectacular. Runners take advantage of his weak arm. Donohue doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Donohue to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
