Mike Doyle
Right Fielder | Free Agents

Hitting
The book on Doyle is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Let's face facts: Doyle hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.

Baserunning & Defense
He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical. Doyle doesn't read balls well off the bat, misses cutoff men consistently and floats throws to the infield. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Doyle to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
