Kir Dressendorfer
Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Pitching
The Retired or Inactive Players hope he can work on his control a little bit. Every once and a while one slips away from him and either ends up at the backstop or in the right field bleachers. His stuff becomes less sharp as he gets into the late innings. Sometimes I wish he'd just give up on throwing the changeup, it's like a BP ball! He frequently leaves fastballs up in the strike zone, where they get pounded. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success.

Defense & Hitting
He has a fair pickoff move and isn't a particularly easy target for basestealers. He tends to fall off slightly to the first-base side of the mound, making him vulnerable to bunts toward third base. He makes up for that minor flaw by being aggressive in fielding his position. Dressendorfer is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Dressendorfer has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Dressendorfer as a pinch-runner on occasion.

2010 Outlook
I can't say I know what The Retired or Inactive Players were doing locking this guy up to a long term contract. A questionable call at best. If Dressendorfer doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors. I just don't know if The Retired or Inactive Players are ever going to get what they expect out of him.
