Jake Engel
First Baseman | Free Agents

Hitting
Engel never has been a patient hitter. The switch-hitting Engel remains more effective from the left side. You can expect Jake Engel to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is. He struggles away from home.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Engel you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough. Engel isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Engel to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
