Rafael Franklin
Center Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
One of the nice things about Rafael is that he's a real clutch hitter. The book on Franklin is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Let's face facts: Franklin hits a lot of ground balls... and in my book, if you're slow of foot and put the ball on the ground, you're bound to get tied up in the double play. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Minor league scouts have accused Franklin of being a liability in the field. Rafael's arm leaves a little to be a desired. Franklin often has trouble scoring from second base on singles and goes from first to third only on hits to right field.

2010 Outlook
What The Retired or Inactive Players was thinking when they signed Franklin to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
