In past seasons, Garrett has been a bit of a liability with men on base. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Rufus Garrett to pull the ball.

Baserunning & Defense
His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal. Minor league scouts have accused Garrett of being a liability in the field. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Garrett to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
