Hitting
Gionfriddo never has been a patient hitter. In past seasons, Gionfriddo has been a bit of a liability with men on base. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Bill Gionfriddo to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is. It's hard to explain but Bill Gionfriddo plays much better on the road then he does at home. It's unfortunate too, with Gionfriddo signing a hefty contract. You gotta imagine management wants a little better relationship between him and the fans.

Baserunning & Defense
Gionfriddo isn't a fluid right fielder, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate enough. Gionfriddo is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Gionfriddo to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
