Hitting
In past seasons, Gofer has been a bit of a liability with men on base. Gofer always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Gofer has better-than-average speed, and he has made himself into a solid basestealer by developing a quick first step and studying the moves of pitchers. Though he managed to record his share of assists, his arm is just average.

2010 Outlook
The Chicago Cubs signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Gofer like a hot potato if something better comes along.
