Jacob Gross
Center Fielder | Free Agents

Hitting
Gross never has been a patient hitter. Gross always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The Free Agents do tend to sit Gross when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball. It's hard to explain but Jacob Gross plays much better on the road then he does at home. It's unfortunate too, with Gross signing a hefty contract. You gotta imagine management wants a little better relationship between him and the fans.

Baserunning & Defense
Gross is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat. When you play Gross you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
I can't say I know what The Free Agents were doing locking this guy up to a long term contract. A questionable call at best.
