Carlos Hernandez
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
One of Hernandez's strongest assets is his performance with men in scoring position. Carlos Hernandezis Mr. Clutch. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Hernandez always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.

Baserunning & Defense
Hernandez isn't a fluid catcher, but he's not afraid to get dirty and gets the job done. His arm is accurate enough. He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal.

2010 Outlook
One has to wonder what Carlos Hernandez is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors.
