Chris Hoiles
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
Hoiles never has been a patient hitter. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Hoiles you're not putting him in for his glove. Chris's arm leaves a little to be a desired. He generally takes one base at a time, though he'll take advantage if an outfielder gets lackadaisical.

2010 Outlook
If Hoiles doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
