In past seasons, Hutson has been a bit of a liability with men on base. This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Jack Hutson to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is. He struggles away from home.

Baserunning & Defense
Hutson is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat. When you play Hutson you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Hutson to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
