Pitching
He's a finesse pitcher, relying on movement and location. His fastball gets into the high 80s, but it's the sink that makes the pitch effective. Jacobs also has a decent changeup. He changes speeds well enough to keep righthanders from teeing off on him.

Defense & Hitting
Jacobs has a very good move to first base, and he varies it so that he's extremely difficult to read. Jacobs is nothing special in the field. Jacobs is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Jacobs has some pop in his swing.

2010 Outlook
Jacobs performance in AAA is making it difficult for the Cleveland Lions to ignore him much longer. Expect his name to be on the September call-up list. I really like what this guy brings to the table.
