Javier never has been a patient hitter. In past seasons, Javier has been a bit of a liability with men on base. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Though he managed to record his share of assists, his arm is just average. Javier is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat.

2010 Outlook
If Javier doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
