Randy Johnson
Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Pitching
He's got a really stong arm, so he can blow it by you on occasion. He can get groundballs when he needs them in a jam. Johnson's fastball was clocked at 95 MPH most of the season and he kept excellent control of it. His slider is sharp and breaks both horizontally and vertically. Johnson also has a decent changeup. This man owns lefties. Put it this way, if your lineup is full of them, you might want rethink your lineup.

Defense & Hitting
Johnson's move to first base is average. Johnson's follow-through leaves him in a vulnerable position, so he has trouble with comebackers. Johnson is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Johnson has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Johnson as a pinch-runner on occasion.

2010 Outlook
Johnson has arguably the best stuff in baseball.
