Rick Krivda
Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players
Pitching Krivda is a control pitcher; when he's on he has pinpoint control. Krivda also has a decent changeup. His pitches lose some movement when he pitches from the stretch position. You know, some times I think I can throw harder than Krivda, and that's saying a lot. He frequently leaves fastballs up in the strike zone, where they get pounded. He's almost as effective against righthanders as he is versus lefthanders.
Defense & Hitting His pickoff move is merely average. He isn't especially quick off the mound but generally fields his position adequately. Krivda is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Krivda has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Krivda as a pinch-runner on occasion.
2010 Outlook If Krivda doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors. I just don't know if The Retired or Inactive Players are ever going to get what they expect out of him.
