Jim Kuzava
Relief Pitcher | Los Angeles Dodgers

Pitching
Kuzava also has a decent changeup. The Los Angeles Dodgers hope he can work on his control a little bit. Every once and a while one slips away from him and either ends up at the backstop or in the right field bleachers. He can hit 90 MPH but is too smart to try to get his fastball past most hitters. He's almost as effective against righthanders as he is versus lefthanders.

Defense & Hitting
Kuzava's move to first base is average. Kuzava is nothing special in the field. Kuzava is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Kuzava has some pop in his swing.

2010 Outlook
I can't say I know what The Los Angeles Dodgers were doing locking this guy up to a long term contract. A questionable call at best. Kuzava has below average skills, even for the low minors. One has to expect the Los Angeles Dodgers will give him his walking papers before the end of the season. I just don't know if The Los Angeles Dodgers are ever going to get what they expect out of him.
