Jack Lake
Relief Pitcher | Free Agents

Pitching
If you're going in to face Lake, better be wearing plenty of protection. He's wild. You know, some times I think I can throw harder than Lake, and that's saying a lot. He frequently leaves fastballs up in the strike zone, where they get pounded. He's almost as effective against righthanders as he is versus lefthanders.

Defense & Hitting
He isn't especially quick off the mound but generally fields his position adequately. Lake doesn't make much of an attempt to combat the running game. Basestealers ran at will last year. Lake is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Lake has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Free Agents have been known to use Lake as a pinch-runner on occasion.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Lake to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks. But if you ask me, I'll pass on Lake.
