Hitting
He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Lugo is one of the fastest players in the game and the majority of his stolen bases are the result of his pure speed. He continues to improve at reading pitchers and getting good jumps. Though he can range pretty far in both directions, he has bad hands and often can't come up with balls. Julio's arm leaves a little to be a desired.

2010 Outlook
The Idaho Sporks were smart, they locked Lugo up to a long term contract. Lugo has impressed at the A-ball level. Look for the Idaho Sporks to give him a shot in Double or Triple A before the year is up.
