Hitting
This guy can't hit a watermelon with a lampost. Maddox always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. The Free Agents do tend to sit Maddox when the opposing team throws a lefty. It's no secret he can't touch the left-handed breaking ball.

Baserunning & Defense
Maddox has below-average speed and is a poor baserunner. Maddox doesn't read balls well off the bat, misses cutoff men consistently and floats throws to the infield. Runners take advantage of his weak arm.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Maddox to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
