Charlie Maloney
Shortstop | Free Agents

Hitting
Maloney never has been a patient hitter. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Charlie Maloney to hit the ball to the opposite field... that's just the kind of hitter he is.

Baserunning & Defense
Minor league scouts have accused Maloney of being a liability in the field. His biggest problem in the field simply has to be his throwing arm... it's well below par. Maloney isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Maloney to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
