Orlando Merced
Right Fielder | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
He has the mental discipline to handle clutch situations. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
Merced doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a handful of bases each season without getting caught very often. When you play Merced you're not putting him in for his glove. Runners take advantage of his weak arm.

2010 Outlook
If Merced doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
