Hitting
One of the nice things about Matt is that he's a real clutch hitter. Mieske never has been a patient hitter. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever. You can expect Matt Mieske to pull the ball.

Baserunning & Defense
Mieske is an intelligent baserunner with average speed, but he's not a basestealing threat. When you play Mieske you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough.

2010 Outlook
If Mieske doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
