Hitting
Mondesi is an excellent mistake hitter who belts middle-of-the-plate fastballs or hanging breaking balls. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Raul Mondesi to pull the ball.

Baserunning & Defense
You might not expect it, but Mondesi is a pretty good fielder too. He has a strong, accurate arm. Mondesi isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out.
