Mike Moore
Starting Pitcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Pitching
If you're going in to face Moore, better be wearing plenty of protection. He's wild. The one thing I must say I don't like about Moore is how easily rattled he gets. If he makes a mistake to a hitter and the guy winds up on second or third, you can pretty much count on the guy scoring. When you throw a curveball, it better break. Hanging curves equal earned runs in this league, you just can't get away with them. Unfortunately, Moore's curveball tends to hang. He's almost as effective against righthanders as he is versus lefthanders.

Defense & Hitting
He isn't especially quick off the mound but generally fields his position adequately. His windup, though, makes him an easy target to run on. Moore is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Moore has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Retired or Inactive Players have been known to use Moore as a pinch-runner on occasion.

2010 Outlook
Moore flat-out isn't ready for this level of competition. Expect the Retired or Inactive Players to send him down promptly. But if you ask me, I'll pass on Moore.
