James Moriarity
First Baseman | Atlanta Braves

Hitting
During the last two years, he has become more patient and gotten better loft on the ball. The statistics don't lie: Moriarity gets most of his home runs against lefties. His strength is in the gaps.

Baserunning & Defense
Moriarity isn't fast, but he's a heady baserunner who rarely gets thrown out. When you play Moriarity you're not putting him in for his glove. James's arm leaves a little to be a desired.

2010 Outlook
The Atlanta Braves were smart, they locked Moriarity up to a long term contract. Moriarity has impressed at the A-ball level. Look for the Atlanta Braves to give him a shot in Double or Triple A before the year is up.
