Dick Morrison
First Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
In past seasons, Morrison has been a bit of a liability with men on base. The book on Morrison is that you can knock the bat out of his hands with an average major league fastball. Morrison always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hangs in well against lefthanders' breaking balls, and some of the pitchers he hits best are the southpaw specialists often brought in to face him.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Morrison you're not putting him in for his glove. Dick's arm leaves a little to be a desired. Morrison isn't a good baserunner. He doesn't get good jumps on steals nor runs sharp routes around the bases.

2010 Outlook
What The Retired or Inactive Players was thinking when they signed Morrison to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
