Joe Oliver
Catcher | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
Oliver never has been a patient hitter. I tell you, it's a real trip to watch this kid play. He gives 110% all the time... unfortunately that means he tends to run out of gas as the game wears on. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency. You can expect Joe Oliver to pull the ball.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Oliver you're not putting him in for his glove. His arm is accurate enough. Oliver often has trouble scoring from second base on singles and goes from first to third only on hits to right field.

2010 Outlook
If Oliver doesn't perform, the Retired or Inactive Players won't hesitate to send him down to the minors.
