Owens never has been a patient hitter. Owens always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Owens you're not putting him in for his glove. Billy's arm leaves a little to be a desired. He has below-average speed and is stiff on the basepath. He's poor on a straight steal but has some success at reading pitchers and working a delayed steal.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Owens to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks.
