Dennis Reed
Relief Pitcher | Free Agents

Pitching
A groundball pitcher, Reed needs to have sharp command to succeed. He's a good late inning man, which is when being a pitcher really counts. If you're going in to face Reed, better be wearing plenty of protection. He's wild. You know, some times I think I can throw harder than Reed, and that's saying a lot. He's trying to develop a sinker, but as of yet it's been well below par. He attacks lefties and righties with similar success.

Defense & Hitting
He isn't especially quick off the mound but generally fields his position adequately. He doesn't have much of a pickoff move and he's slow getting the ball to home plate out of the set position. Reed is a surpisingly good hitting pitcher. And I'm not sure you can say this about a pitcher, but Reed has some pop in his swing. Interesting sidenote, The Free Agents have been known to use Reed as a pinch-runner on occasion.

2010 Outlook
What The Free Agents was thinking when they signed Reed to a long contract, is beyond me: this guy flat-out sucks. But if you ask me, I'll pass on Reed.
