Ray Rice
Second Baseman | Atlanta Braves

Hitting
In past seasons, Rice has been a bit of a liability with men on base. He has a natural lift to his swing, which produces few groundballs. Even though you might not start him, he's not a bad guy to have on your bench for the tough left-handed reliever.

Baserunning & Defense
His arm and range are average, and he has a tendency to get lazy with his feet. Rice doesn't have great speed, though he reads righthanders' moves well enough to steal a couple bases each season without getting caught very often.

2010 Outlook
The Atlanta Braves signed him to a long-term contract, but don't think they won't drop Rice like a hot potato if something better comes along.
