Billy Ripken
Second Baseman | Retired or Inactive Players

Hitting
Ripken never has been a patient hitter. Ripken always has been a line-drive hitter who uses the entire field. He hits righthanders and lefthanders with equal consistency.

Baserunning & Defense
When you play Ripken you're not putting him in for his glove. Billy's arm leaves a little to be a desired. His speed is below average and he's not a threat to steal.

2010 Outlook
One has to wonder what Billy Ripken is doing in AA. In all honesty, he could use a lot of work on the fundamentals in the low minors.
